An enthusiastic team of 7 girls entered the girls' football tournament on Thursday 16th November at Somervale school. They played magnificently, enjoying the experience despite the persistent rain and never having played before. They lost two games and drew one but loved every minute, so much so they decided to play on in a friendly game when they could have gone home! A big thank you to Lyn Kettles who managed them and in her words, "It was pure joy to watch."
Many congratulations also to the Mighty Greens who played in the second football tournament at the Blue School on Monday 20th November. Despite the terrible rain, which caused a big issue for those players who wear glasses as they couldn't see, the team battled on. I am always proud of our amazing children who are always a big credit to our school. They have a great attitude and show determination and good sportsmanship. Despite all efforts, we were unable to retain the shield but came second. Well done to all!
