English - Write up your story based on the Owl Who was afraid of the dark.

Go through the powerpoint attached to give you ideas about how to plan and write your story.  Remember your main character will start the story not like something that you would expect your character to like; such as a penguin who doesn't like the snow or a bat who is afraid of the dark.

Dipal's Diwali

We are looking at diary writing this week. Listen to the story and then start thinking about what you might write in a diary if you were Dipal, the main character. How might he feel? What parts of his day would he record in a diary? Don't forget to write in the first person using 'I' or 'we', to write in the past tense (I walked to the market / I tidied my bedroom etc) and to write in chronological order - the order in which events happened. You can use the template below if you have a printer at home or just write on a piece of paper. There is a word bank to help you at the bottom of the template.

Reading Comprehension - read the text and then try to answer the questions in full sentences.

Spellings - Practise this week's common exception words. You can just write them out on a piece of paper if you don't have a printer at home.

History - Amelia Earhart. Go through the power point and plan a biography about her life.
