Mathematical Vocabulary
Our curriculum design helps pupils develop unique perspectives by establishing classroom environments that promote thinking, reasoning, and mathematical discussion. New mathematical vocabulary is systematically introduced across the key stages in Number, Geometry and Measure to promote a high level of subject-specific literacy.

When children are first introduced to new vocabulary, it is not essential that children remember these words - but this modelling will help them become familiar with the terms, gradually beginning to use them accurately and with understanding in later years.
