Today, we revised our numbers up 20 and then we learned how to count in tens up to 100. Here we are, having a go! (Please excuse some of our pronunciation, Mrs Dutton let us try it by ourselves!)

National Poetry Day

Today we studied the poet Zaro Weil. She has written over 300 poems. We looked at three of her poems and identified the features.

The poems we looked at were called,

I choose poetry

Think of it

Hide and Seek.

We watched a live video with Mr Dilly interviewing Zaro. Mr Dilly chose his top children's poems:

Ning, Nang, Nong by Spike Milligan

Life Doesn't Frighten Me by Mia Andrew

Chocolate Cake by Michael Rosen

Jim (and the lion) by Hilaire Belloc

Talking Turkeys by Benjamin Zephaniah

Hide and Seek by Zaro Weil

Why not see if you can find any of these poems yourselves?
