Online Safety

"e-Safety" or "Online Safety" is an important part of keeping children safe at St Vigor & St John Primary School.

There are a number of security measures in place in school, which are monitored internally and externally, to help safeguard pupils from potential dangers or unsuitable material. Any Online Safety incidents are recorded and managed in accordance with our policy.

Online Safety is taught to all pupils, in Computing lessons and assemblies, with the aim of explaining and demonstrating how to both stay safe and behave appropriately when using the internet.

As a school, we can only be successful in keeping children safe online if we work with parents to ensure our message is consistent. It is important that parents speak to their children regularly about how they can keep safe and behave online.
