Campion’s Last Day ☀️☀️☀️. The children suggested ideas for their end of year celebrations and then voted for an activity for Wednesday (last day with Mrs Cross) and Friday (last day with Ms Rogers). Today’s selected choice was extended free play with Lego, Subbuteo, dinosaurs, leaf printing and summer flower 🌺 🌼🌸🌻🪻🪷💐🌷crown making. What a wonderful last day we had ❤️. Happy holidays to you all ☀️
The Annual Duck Race 🦆🦆🦆
Olympics Celebrations at Downside - we had the best day at Downside along with the rest of SVSJ. We learnt about different areas of France, all about Bastille Day and then rehearsed La Marseillaise. The homemade biscuits and delicious cupcakes were well received too! What a fantastic day 🇫🇷☀️.
Maths - Today we practised minutes past the hour ⏰⏰⏰
Maths - We are learning to tell the time in Campion. We have covered o'clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to before moving on to telling the time to 5 minute intervals (minutes to and minutes past). Please support your children with this at home as it is quite a tricky topic. We had fun working in pairs - one partner showing the time on the clock that Ms Rogers called out whilst our partners checked our minute and hour hands were in the right place. We then swapped over.
