What is the impact of an ever-changing environment?
Linked to the book 'Darwin's Dragons', on the first week back, we made dragon eyes out of clay.
In science, we experimented with different 'beaks' to understand Charles Darwin's finches. We learnt about adaptation and how different finches have different shaped beaks, adapted to the islands they live on and the food available.
As part of our learning in quest, we went to Folly Farm to learn about how to live a sustainable life and learn about minibeasts around us.
After reading the book 'Darwin's Dragons', which is linked to our science topic 'adaptation and evolution', we went and met the author at Wells Literature Festival.
